Tracing Dye Colors:
- • RED: A long-standing favorite, high heat stability, best for closed loop application. Perfect contrast to green waters, high lightfastness. A popular choice for water that is green because of major algae growth. Makes it easier to see the way water is flowing and identify any problems quickly. Recommended for when metering of input is required, flow, dilution, dispersion rate studies, pipeline hydro testing, sewer and septic inspections.
- • BLUE: Can be used in larger bodies of water that require a greater concentration of color. Bright Dyes® Standard Blue Liquid is specially formulated using an Acid Blue 9 for visual detection. Blue tracing dyes are one of the more popular choices as they make the water look more natural, but also helps to identify issues with water flow, especially in clay pipes. Recommended for when metering of input is required, flow, dilution, dispersion rate studies, pipeline hydro testing, sewer and septic inspections, visual inspections and decorative effects.
