Hercules® Real Tuff White PTFE Thread Sealant - 8oz

The Real Tuff is a heavy-duty white PTFE thread sealant that uses a unique system of fine-grain PTFE particles to fill cracks and thread imperfections. Designed for use in high pressure applications, this smooth-setting sealant forms durable, leak-free seals so that joints can be tested and put into service immediately. It can be used on lines carrying water, steam, caustics and dilute acids and is compatible with all metals and PVC, CPVC and ABS plastics.

  • • Suitable for use with lines carrying air, drinking water and gas, except for oxygen
  • • Withstands up to 12,000 PSI on liquids and up to 2,600 PSI on gases from -50° to 550°F
  • • Will not run or drip from joints and contains no heavy metals or volatile solvents
  • • Holds tight against expansion and contraction and resists strong acids, alkalis and ketones
  • • NSF listed
